Today is Day 65 of my #100 Days of Advocacy and I’m feeling pretty good about my progress so far. I love that I have a Wednesday to work on my creative projects and am happy to announce the introduction of my first embroidery kit in my Etsy Store today.
The kit is for a “Neuroflutterby”, this was inspired by an article I read on the neurocosmopolitan blog and the accompanying picture of a neurofly,
I’ve adapted him a little and he is now made up of the colours often found in Autism Awareness items, with the brain consisting of the 4 puzzle pieces. I know that some don’t like to see the puzzle in Autism but while there is still so much misunderstanding and while the journey through diagnosis, assessment and just daily living continue to present more questions than answers I believe the puzzle piece is appropriate. Hey ho can’t please all the people….
Checking in on all the lovely folks at the Business Bakery it’s great to see the progress being made by all those creative folk out there and the sense of community is most encouraging for those of us lurking in the background. I also love the encouragement of Laura Simms over at the Purpose Paradigm, albeit I usually forget to share my work, today I will try to remember.
My Instagram audience is slowly climbing, as are the number of visitors to my Etsy Store, I am beginning to see some reward for the work I’ve been putting in and hope to see that continually progress.
I’ve been diving into all the goodness Danielle Laporte has released with her White Hot Truth, the book, the audio, the sonic sessions and book club boosts have been wonderful, so many insights and great take-aways, I’m sure a few will be paraphrased in my magic hoops on Instagram.
It’s been a busy time of it here, enjoying the release from school pressures and the ability to focus on me and my creativity for a while although that peripheral vision always keeps everything else in view.
Hope everyone else is having a happy creative time and finding the magic, there’s a lot of it out there.
