I think this may be my 4th go (at least) on the Business Bakery 100 Day Goal. The first time I started off all gung ho micro actions blazing and fizzled out and fell off the wagon after a very short while. I still lurked in the background watching everyone else press on with their goals, cheering them on quietly (silently in spirit) from the sidelines) and being impressed greatly by the persistence and drive and the downright honesty of those struggling through.
This time is going to be different – as every time is.. This time I am so ready for my life to change and I’ve been enjoying some creativity in the background whilst everyone else has been soldiering on. I started the #100dayproject in April. (My 100DaysOfAdvocacy).
We’re now on the 9th Day of May and My Goal has taken on many guises in a very short time. I know that a goal ‘should’ be specific and measurable and chunkable. The problem with that is I don’t do ‘shoulds’. One of my many favourite quotes is “There are No Rules Only Guidelines. I live in an ASD (Awesomely Spectrally Different – I know what it ‘should’ stand for!) household and when I hear ‘should’ I am automatically looking at the big picture and thinking of alternatives. We have learnt in many hard ways that there is always another way. So, what’s my goal.
Well, it’s kind of multi-faceted but the big picture answer is summed up by the Hoop in the picture above. I’m taking the next 100 (or 91) days To Make My Studio My Life. It will always be a work in progress, I intend for it to be full of purpose and always the best it can be. And so the doors to my design studio are open already.
I’ll be using the 100 day goal to ensure I don’t lose my way and take at least one small step each day. To help me count off the days and set a plan for the weeks and months ahead I’ve put together a couple of printables – in my much loved hoop theme: 100 Hoops and a Month (5weeks) of check hoops.
I wish everyone on the 100 day goal and on their Creative Journeys all the best and look forward to sharing in all the progress and processes along the way.
